High levels of uric acid can cause problems such as arthritis or joint pain, high blood pressure, and kidney failure. There are some foods in our daily diet that are high in uric acid. Again there are some nutritious foods that act like medicines to control uric acid.


Eating large amounts of protein or non-vegetarian foods or alcoholic foods makes the body produce non-essential amino acids called purines. Uric acid is made from this purine. This uric acid first goes into the blood. From there it is excreted from the body with urine through the kidneys. If the level of uric acid in the blood is higher than normal, this condition is called hyperglycemia.

Therefore, if you have high blood pressure, high cholesterol-triglycerides and diabetes, the risk of uric acid increase is much higher. Excess uric acid also builds up like crystals in various joints in the body's bones, causing many patients to have swollen and very painful joints. The name of this disease is gout or gate arthritis. Its role in regulating sodium levels increases the risk of hypertension. It also increases the risk of heart disease along with other physical ailments.

Under normal circumstances, the level of uric acid in the blood of women is 2.4 to 6.0 mg per dl and in men it is 3.4 to 6.0 mg per dl.

Foods to avoid
- Organ meat i.e. organs such as liver, brain, tongue, lungs, kidneys etc. should not be eaten. Because they increase uric acid.

- High fat beef, mutton, mutton or buffalo meat should not be eaten. Because these foods have high levels of uric acid. If you want to eat these meats, then you should eat less meat without any fat.

- Avoid marine fish and hard-shelled animals such as shrimps, snails, crabs, etc.

- All kinds of pulses, beans, bean seeds, jackfruit seeds, etc. should be avoided.

- Honey, sugar syrup, sugary drinks, especially processed fruit juices, soft drinks should not be eaten at all.

- Avoid some vegetables such as spinach, spinach, broccoli, cauliflower. Besides, mushrooms cannot be eaten.

- Sugary drinks, alcohol and caffeinated beverages should not be consumed.

Eat more foods
- High fiber foods such as green vegetables and fruits. These fibrous foods expel uric acid from the body in the form of feces.

- Eat lean meat. In this case chicken meat is better. However, skin and fins cannot be eaten. Because it contains a lot of fat. Moreover, eggs can be eaten without the amount of fish and yolks. You can also eat milk or skim milk without fat.

- Eat more sour fruits or vitamin-C foods. Green tea helps reduce uric acid. So you can drink green tea regularly to reduce uric acid.

- You need to drink more water than you need. Drink two and a half to three liters of water every day. Water helps to eliminate any kind of toxins in the body. In this case, water is also effective in controlling uric acid.
